Joanne Curtin Founder

Joanne Curtin is the visionary behind The Curtin Team and a driving force in the real estate industry.

Joanne's journey began as an Elementary school teacher, but her innate curiosity about investing and building wealth led her to make a bold career shift. Inspired by the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series, she left teaching to venture into real estate, joining Keller Williams with a determination to think BIG.

In 2001, the Curtin Team took its first steps in North Atlanta, founded by Joanne herself. Alongside her husband Tom, they transformed it into a powerhouse, achieving over $700 million in home sales volume and serving 2,000 clients. Their success expanded beyond sales, leading to the launch of a brokerage office and co-ownership of the Keller Williams Realty Consultants Roswell Market Center.

In 2018, Joanne's commitment to community service lead to the creation of Curtin Team Cares, a non-profit organization. As President, she passionately leads initiatives to provide local support during times of need, embodying the belief in giving back to the community.

A University of Georgia graduate with a Masters in Education, Joanne continues to teach within the real estate community. Originally from Dalton, Georgia, she now resides in Milton with Tom, their two beautiful children, and their furry companions, Fluff and Charlie.

Leveraging insights from his previous marketing roles, Tom played a pivotal role in assembling a team of top-notch Realtors and Administrative staff. Together, they cultivated a client-centered organization that has successfully closed over $700 million in sales and facilitated 2,000 transactions.

A driving force behind the launch of the Keller Williams Realty Roswell Market Center, Tom's strategic leadership has positioned it as one of the premier offices in the Southeast Region. Beyond his executive role, Tom manages a real estate portfolio in North Atlanta and shares his expertise, teaching others to create wealth through real estate.

Tom's passion for investing and commitment to helping others achieve financial freedom define his professional journey. He strongly advocates for work-life balance. This principle inspired the team approach in his real estate practice, allowing fellow Realtors the rare opportunity to enjoy both professional success and personal fulfillment.

Tom has a business degree from the prestigious Honors Program at the University of Georgia and is a Roswell High School alum. Outside the office, you'll find him hiking or at his cabin in Blue Ridge, embodying the balance he values. Tom and Joanne, proud parents of two high schoolers, call Milton home.

Lynne Miller Account Manager

Lynne comes to the Curtin Team with 15 years of experience in the legal field. As Account Manager, her role revolves around ensuring that all buyers and sellers receive the utmost attention, overseeing all aspects of real estate transactions to insure a smooth transition from agreement to closing.(read more)

When Lynne is not dedicating herself to her professional pursuits, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends. Being a devoted soccer and dance mom, she can often be found on the pitch or in a dance studio.

Currently residing in Roswell, Georgia, Lynne is happily married to her husband Danny. Together, they are raising her two wonderful children: son Logan and daughter Lily, along with their beloved dog, Jackson. Her step-daughter, Shelby, will be attending UGA (Lynne’s alma mater) in the fall.

Lynne continues to embrace the importance of work-life balance and cherishes the moments spent with her loved ones. She values the opportunities to create lasting memories, whether it's through family vacations, game nights, or simply enjoying quality time at home.

Julia Wilcox Marketing Manager

Julia received her Bachelor's degree from Wichita State University. She has extensive experience in property management, marketing, and holds a real estate license. She has a deep passion for real estate and has spent over 10 years shaping the way properties are presented in the dynamic real estate market. (read more)

Prior to joining the Curtin Team, she owned and operated a professional real estate photography company. Julia and her family moved to Alpharetta in 2012 as part of a corporate relocation. Experienced and results focused, Julia is a self-directed leader with a successful track record of project management working with clients emphasizing customer service, policy improvement and consistent high-quality product output. Leadership and empathy are at the core of Julia’s management style. She emphasizes collaboration and creativity, ensuring that every campaign is thoughtfully crafted to meet the needs of both sellers and buyers.

Julia has a passion for supporting the team members and continuing to strengthen the Curtin Team’s respected brand with a community focus. Julia enjoys the study of cityscapes and architectural design, creating fine art photography, spending time with family and friends, and travel.

Shelbi Kelly Inside Sales Associate

Shelbi is an optimistic and enthusiastic sales professional with over ten years of experience in customer service. Her role is crucial for building long term client relationships and connecting buyers and sellers. She is skilled at developing the right action plan for each client’s specific needs and committed to helping them achieve their real estate goals. (read more)

Throughout her career, Shelbi has been passionate about listening and nurturing relationships with clients and earning their trust. She strives to be a confidant, actively listening to clients and putting their needs first. Shelbi is originally a Denver native. She recently relocated from Los Angeles to Alpharetta, where she is eager to put down roots. She enjoys planning trips to new places and spending time outdoors.

Kanani Briggs Agent Partner, Realtor

She is passionate about serving others while also making a positive impact in the world. Kanani was born and raised in Hawaii and has lived in 7 states so she is no stranger to the moving process! She has a particular interest in helping families who are relocating to our area. Kanani lives in Alpharetta with her husband, Scott, two college sons, Dominic and Riley, and two rescue dogs, Hutch and Rocky. Kanani also serves on the board of the Children's Development Academy in Roswell and enjoys volunteering in our community. Kanani blends her business background, life coaching tools, and her commitment to serving others to help others make their best real estate move. She is dedicated to making the home buying and selling process a positive experience.

Shari Sautner Agent Partner, Realtor

Shari Sautner has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and has been in real estate since 2009. She currently lives in Crabapple/Milton with her two sons. Heather Woodruff Agent Partner, Realtor

Heather jumped in to the world of real estate in 2017, after working as a pediatric physical therapist. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about helping others and is thrilled to support her clients in realizing their dreams of homeownership. (read more)

Heather is an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Real Estate Collaboration Specialist in Divorce (RCS-D), and certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE). Heather's desire to become a realtor was fueled by her own home search. She realized that buyers, in particular, need smart, resourceful agents to advocate for them and will go that extra mile. Heather is a deep listener, problem solver, and seasoned negotiator. Heather grew up in upstate New York and attended Ithaca College, where she received an MS in physical therapy. When she is not house hunting for her clients, Heather loves to spend time with her daughters, hike with her dog, master bread making, or read a good book.

Eveline Mattheaus Agent Partner, Realtor

Eveline brings a wealth of professional expertise to the Curtin Team, with a background in marketing from Unilever and management advisory from Andersen Consulting. Her unique specialization in assisting expats is rooted in her personal experience of relocating her family from Switzerland, giving her valuable insights into the challenges and stress associated with such a move.(read more)

She has embraced Georgia and its warm Southern hospitality. She enjoys exploring the area with her husband Marc and three kids, often accompanied by their rescue dog, Youpi. Richard Miller Attorney at Law

Richard earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science, and his law degree from the University of South Carolina. He began his law career as a litigation attorney before moving into real estate. He is active in the community and currently serves on the Residential Real Estate Subcommittee for the Real Estate Section of the Georgia Bar Association. Richard and his wife, Kris, have a daughter and three sons. His daughter, Katie, is also a team member at Miller & Associates.

Kern Autrey Schwartz Attorney at Law

Kern is a closing attorney with O’Kelley & Sorohan and manages their Alpharetta office.

She is a Georgia native and received her law degree from the University of Georgia in 1999. After several years as a litigator, Kern discovered a strong interest in residential real estate and has been conducting closings for fifteen years in metro Atlanta.

Kern is a graduate of Vassar College and received her master’s degree from Middlebury College in Vermont. Kern worked in government relations in Washington, D.C. before returning to Georgia for law school. She is married and has three sons.
